FOUNDED IN 1984
The European Locksmiths’ Federation was founded in 1984 and is based in Helsinki.
It is an entity for national locksmith associations throughout Europe representing more than 11,000 locksmiths to promote co-operation between members.
The ELF strives to promote technical education and to represent locksmiths to major lock and key manufacturers, as well as to governments, to promote standards and licensing.
